My Preview Week

I'm wrapping up a week long preview visit to my future home. This was my last chance to bail; but, I've decided not to, choosing instead to enter a new chapter of my life. While I know the move will be full of challenges I think it will be also be full of opportunities for personal growth and new adventures. Not to mention learning a new profession as I attempt to help my father's home building business through business development and marketing.

I visited the house in which I'll be living: rustic yet cozy. Moving to Red Lodge means selling some of my belongings, giving things away, and storing others. It's a great reminder that our 'things' do not define us. For me, my faith in God defines me. His purpose for my life defines me. I believe this move to Montana will be a good exercise in practicing this truth.

As part of this new life chapter, I'm looking forward to learning a new community. So much of a person's home consists of the people around them. I believe Red Lodge is full of people who are ready and willing to welcome me to my new home. While the lifestyle is definitely different than what I'm used to, it appears to be rich and full.

So, in the mean time I have much to accomplish. My faith is in God that my house sells. Otherwise....the clock is ticking as March 1 approaches.
